We have made Veatables easy to snack and easy to pack. Store in the fridge and help yourself to an energy boost or pop one into a packed lunch for later.

Try these serving suggestions  for a bit of culinary inspiration:-

Superfood V-Salad

Chop your favourite Veatable bar into 1cm cubes and sprinkle over the top of a crisp green salad. Add slices of fresh tomato, cucumber and thin slices of red onion then serve with your favourite salad dressing….we combine 50ml balsamic vinegar with 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard and 150ml olive oil; whisk until a creamy consistency then drizzle over the salad – keep any leftovers in a jar in the fridge for your next V-salad.

V-Fingers & Mash

For a nutritious and delicious tea-time option, your kids will love this combination!

Prepare a fluffy potato mash by boiling Maris Piper potatoes (or another good ‘mashing’ variety), with their skins on, until soft. Add a small knob of butter and a splash of milk then mash well. Leaving the skins on ensures a better vitamin content, extra fibre and a lovely, nutty taste.

Meanwhile, place your required quantity of Veatable bars on a tray lined with foil under a hot grill (you can lightly oil the bar if you want to but this is not necessary if you watch them carefully). Grill each side for 3 minutes until slightly crisp and piping hot.

Serve with a portion of cooked peas and watch your children enjoy their dinner.

Salad V-Burger

So simple and quick this delicious snack is a new way to enjoy Veatables and a healthier way to change your eating habits.

Although Veatable bars are square(ish) they still fit snuggly into a burger bun or a fresh bread roll. Either grill or lightly fry your favourite bar, pop inside a burger bun, add slices of tomato, cucumber, lettuce, and enjoy…

V-Nice Nibbles

We’ve already said that the inspiration for Veatable bars was to find a savoury snack which could be a healthier alternative to crisps and this is a great way to share them with friends.

Cut a selection of Veatable bars into 1.5cm cubes and simply put them on the end of a cocktail stick (you can add a cherry tomato if you want to). Serve as they are or dunk into a dip for the perfect nibble…V-Nice!
